1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”, “Agreement”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) and FiCraft (“we”, “our”, or “us”), governing your access to and use of the FiCraft mobile application and associated services (collectively, the “Application” or “Service”).

By downloading, installing, or using FiCraft, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Application and uninstall it from your device.

2. Eligibility & Permitted Use

  1. Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your country) to use FiCraft, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  2. Personal Use: FiCraft is provided to you solely for your personal, non-commercial financial tracking and budgeting.
  3. Lawful Use: You agree to use the Application in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

3. Nature of the Service (Not Financial or Investment Advice)

  1. Informational Tool Only: FiCraft is a personal expense tracker and organization tool designed to help you monitor your spending and budgets on your device.
  2. Not a Financial Institution: FiCraft is not a bank, lender, payment provider, credit card company, or investment firm. We do not hold, transfer, or manage money.
  3. No Professional Advice: The numbers, totals, and charts shown in the app are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute professional financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You should consult a qualified financial professional before making financial decisions.
  4. Realized Values Only: Any rewards, cashbacks, or profit/loss figures are calculated solely based on realized usage and offsets applied directly to transactions recorded in the application. FiCraft does not track, evaluate, or guarantee external loyalty balances, reward points, or unrealized paper returns.

4. Automated SMS Processing & Disclaimers

FiCraft provides an automated convenience feature that scans financial transaction alerts from your device’s SMS messages using a 2-step process:

  1. Automated Reading Is an Estimation: The app detects purchase amounts, convenience fees, discounts, merchants, and dates from bank and payment notifications. Because banks write messages in many different formats and frequently change them, FiCraft does not guarantee that every message will be detected or parsed with 100% accuracy.
  2. Your Responsibility to Review:
    • Step 1 detects potential transactions and lists them in your inbox as pending.
    • Step 2 gives you the final say. You are responsible for reviewing, confirming, editing, or dismissing transactions before they are saved to your spending history and account balances.
  3. Multi-SMS Grouping & Correlation: Where multiple messages relate to the same financial event (such as transfers between your own accounts, credit card bill payments, or immediate transaction reversals), FiCraft provides automated grouping for convenience. Users retain sole responsibility for verifying, approving, or unlinking grouped transactions.
  4. Security Codes & Sensitive Messages: FiCraft automatically ignores One-Time Passwords (OTPs), authentication codes, and personal messages. The app will never ask you to save, enter, or share an OTP.
  5. No Affiliation: FiCraft is an independent tool and is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or partnered with any bank, financial institution, or payment provider.

5. Device Security & Backups

  1. Keeping Your Phone Secure: Your financial records are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for protecting your phone with a passcode, PIN, or biometric lock to prevent unauthorized access.
  2. Data Backups: Because your records are kept directly on your phone and not on our servers, you are responsible for maintaining your data. Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app permanently removes your local records.
  3. Restrictions: You agree not to copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or proprietary assets of FiCraft.

6. Intellectual Property & Your Data Ownership

  1. Our Intellectual Property: The FiCraft application, including its design, branding, features, visual elements, and underlying software, is proprietary and owned by the creators of FiCraft. All rights are reserved.
  2. Your Data Ownership: You own 100% of your data. You retain full ownership of all transactions, account names, budgets, and personal records you create or track in FiCraft.

7. Third-Party Services (Google Firebase)

FiCraft utilizes Google Firebase developer services (Crashlytics for crash detection and Analytics for app health).

  1. These services collect only anonymous technical diagnostics (such as phone model, operating system version, and general screen views).
  2. As detailed in our Privacy Policy, no financial records, SMS text, account balances, or personal contacts are ever sent to Firebase.

8. Absolute Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  1. FiCraft is provided strictly on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties or representations of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, quiet enjoyment, non-infringement, or accuracy.
  2. We do not warrant that the application will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, compatible with your device or operating system, or that transaction SMS parsing or financial calculations will be 100% accurate, complete, or reliable.
  3. You use the application solely at your own risk and discretion.

9. Total Exclusion of Liability (Zero Liability — No Amount, Nothing)

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  1. No Liability for Anything: In no event shall FiCraft, its creators, developers, maintainers, owners, contributors, licensors, service providers, or affiliates be liable to you or any third party for any claims, proceedings, liabilities, obligations, damages, losses, costs, or expenses of any kind. We are not liable for anything, under any legal theory, for any reason whatsoever.
  2. Comprehensive Coverage: This total exclusion of liability applies without limitation to:
    • Any financial losses, lost profits, lost savings, investment losses, or budget discrepancies;
    • Missed loan, bill, or credit card payments, overdraft charges, banking penalties, late fees, interest charges, or tax consequences;
    • Inaccurate, missing, delayed, misinterpreted, or misclassified SMS parsing, counterparty resolution, or categorization;
    • Loss, corruption, destruction, or unavailability of data stored on your device due to phone damage, hardware failure, theft, malware, operating system updates, app uninstallation, or cache clearing;
    • Unauthorized access, security breaches, or compromise of your personal device;
    • Any financial, business, or personal decisions made by you based on information or calculations displayed in the application;
    • Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.
  3. Absolute Zero Financial Liability ($0.00 / ₹0.00): Under no circumstances and under no legal theory (whether in contract, tort including negligence, strict liability, warranty, statute, or otherwise) shall our total, aggregate, or cumulative liability exceed ZERO (₹0.00 / $0.00). There is no financial recovery, no restitution, and no compensation available under any circumstances. We are not liable for any amount, nothing.

10. Indemnification & Release

You agree to fully defend, indemnify, release, and hold harmless FiCraft, its creators, developers, contributors, and operators from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, demands, expenses, or legal costs arising out of or in any way connected with:

  1. Your access to or use of the Application;
  2. Any data, transactions, accounts, or records created, imported, or tracked by you;
  3. Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation;
  4. Any dispute between you and any third party (including banks, payment providers, merchants, or contacts).

11. Termination

You may stop using FiCraft at any time by simply deleting or uninstalling the application from your phone. We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any feature of the app at our discretion.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. If you have any dispute or concern, you agree to first contact us at ficraft@omkard.dev so we can attempt to resolve it informally.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms occasionally. Any changes will be posted here with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continuing to use the app after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
